The web moves, and so do your losses

On a converting line, most of the waste comes from the web itself — how it's tensioned, guided and stopped. When tension drifts or the web wanders, every process downstream inherits the error, and it turns up as scrap at the rewind.
  • Tension drifts between unwind and rewind, so rolls dish, telescope or build soft and unusable.
  • The web wanders off line, and slit edges, laminate registration and coat weight all suffer for it.
  • Static and poor stopping control cause defects, web breaks and lost production on every changeover.

We fit closed-loop web tension control and web guiding across the full line, so material tracks true and holds the same tension from the unwind through the process to the rewind. Get the tension right and everything downstream improves, which is why we start there.

Cleaner slitting, tighter rewinds

Better brakes, brushless motors and motor controllers give slitter rewinders the stopping control and drive response they need for clean roll slitting and firm, repeatable rewound rolls — on a slitting machine or a full slitter rewinder.

Laminating and coating you can hold

Steady tension, accurate guiding and static control keep a laminating paper machine or coating machine bonding and coating consistently, so registration holds and coat weight stays where you set it.

Can you upgrade our existing converting machinery, or is this new equipment only?

We upgrade what you've got wherever it makes sense. Most of our converting work is retrofit — tension control, guiding, brakes and drives added to lines already in production.

Which processes do you cover — slitting, rewinding, laminating, coating?

All of them. The web-handling principles carry across the line; we tailor the specifics — braking, drives, guiding, static — to your process and material.

Our rewound rolls dish and telescope. Can you fix that?

Usually, yes. It's almost always a tension or guiding problem across unwind and rewind, which is exactly what closed-loop web control is built to hold steady.

Will you come and look at our line first?

Yes. We carry out on-site machine surveys, so any recommendation is based on your line, not a generic spec.

Do you support the line after installation?
