Upgrading Mark Andy 2200 Flexo Press with MAGPOWR Components

Motion Drives & Controls Limited, the Magpowr distributor in the UK, has been working on the Mark Andy 2200 flexo press for the last 27 years. The machine, fitted with Magpowr clutches, brakes and bespoke controls, has been popular in the label printing market. However, the special control boards have become obsolete, and the need for an upgrade path using standard Magpowr components has arisen.

Old System

The Mark Andy 2200 flexo press was initially fitted with bespoke controls that have become obsolete over time. The obsolete control boards needed an upgrade path to enhance the machine's performance.

New System

Motion Drives & Controls Limited provided an upgrade path to the Mark Andy 2200 flexo press using standard Magpowr components. The upgrade has resulted in significant cost savings for the customer, with reduced scrap during changeover and improved tension control, which has brought the print quality up to the level of their P5 series press.
